Update : As we waited for his procedure we insisted for a Bronchoscopy to rule out Laryngomalacia. The doctor was a little hesitant to do it because he is sure that his issue is just his apnea affecting his oxygen. The thing is, apnea usually only affects you during your sleep because when your laying down the over growth is blocking your airway. August seems to have blockage during the day too, more so than the evening. So after name dropping other male hospital doctors suggesting he could have laryngomalacia during our initial hospital admittance he was “convinced” and added it to our procedure today. . . . #downsyndrome #luckyfew #boywithdownsyndrome #upwithdowns #twinboys #twinswithdownsyndrome #downsyndromeawareness #familywithdownsyndrome #momofdownsyndrome #laryngomalacia #laryngomalaciaawareness

#TWINS if only it was as magical as it seemed. Ill start with saying I am grateful for my children and definitely feel blessed to have this experience. I once felt “only lucky” people had them. Never did I imagine I’d have them myself. Now to be completely honest, this sh*t is hard. Along with a lot of things the #covid19pandemic has taken this experience from me. I long for the days I can spend outside the house making my days a little shorter. I wish I could have connected with the #downsyndrome community in person. I can’t wait to miss my kids again and realize my Husband needs a haircut. But like everything else... “this too shall pass” . . . #twinmom #boymom #girlmom #bornthisway #fraternaltwins #bigfamily #bigfamilylife #twinsofinstagram #twinbrothers #downsyndrome

Voleva combattere.

Its been a whirlwind of days and emotions and now that it has somewhat settled down, we’d like to share some news. One of our twins was born with a extra chromosome called Trisomy 21 also known as Down Syndrome. This was not a surprise to us at birth, we’ve known for awhile and took this time to process it. We believe that God knitted him perfectly for our family, and know he will touch so many hearts. Although he is made a little different, we pray that you can join our family without hesitation and share joy and love for who he is not what he has. We want thank all of our Family and Friends for all the support we have received. We are truly blessed and cant wait for him to join our family soon. This is August Dean. . . . #breauxiewithanextrachromie #breauxtherlylove #luckyfew #downrightperfect #downsyndrometwins #downsyndrome #downsyndromelove #t21rocks #bornthisway #nothingdownaboutit #Boymom #twinmom #downrightperfectmom #bornthisway #downsyndromebaby #breauxtherhood #twinsofinstagram #homiewithanextrachromie

???? Something I love about being a part of the Down Syndrome Community is having the available resources for any need. I started in a group with mother’s who were expecting. Although I had to unfollow the group during my pregnancy. Many shared their fears and hopes as the awaited their little person. After delivery I was accepted into the birth group that has moms all over the states who delivered around the same time. This helps us stay relatable to what we are experiencing currently at this age. It’s been helpful to get advice or recommendations of things they have tried. I also joined a Sacramento group full of women that have gone before me and can help guide me with local recommendations. Lastly there is group with parents who have Twins and one or both who have Down syndrome. There is seriously a group for everyone, even Dads!!!! This little huggapod was recommended to by a mama in one of my groups. It’s a pillow like harness that help the baby sit up so he doesn’t tilt foward. It’s usually used in a bouncer or swing and It’s intended for any child not just one with a disability. I found mine at buybuybabuy! ???? #luckyfew #downsyndrome #twins #twinsofinstagram #downsyndromebabies #downsyndromeawareness #downsyndromeawarenessmonth #downsyndromelove #twinswithdownsyndrome #boymom #welcometoholland #downsyndromefamily #luckyfewmama
